Effective June 12, 2026 · LendShark for iOS

The short version

Everything you put in LendShark stays on your device. We collect nothing, transmit nothing, and track nothing. There are no accounts, no servers holding your data, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. The only way data leaves your phone is when you export or share it yourself.

What we collect

Nothing. LendShark has no user accounts and no backend. The app does not send your ledger entries, contacts, recordings, usage data, or device information to us or to anyone else.

Where your data lives

Your ledger — names, amounts, items, due dates, notes, and phone numbers you choose to attach — is stored in a local database on your device, protected by iOS's standard data protection. Deleting the app deletes the data. We have no copy and no way to recover it for you.

Optional permissions, and what they're for

Declining any permission leaves the rest of the app fully functional.

What leaves your device

Only what you send yourself: reminder texts open in your Messages app for you to review and send, and CSV/PDF exports go wherever you share them. LendShark never sends a message or a file on its own.

Third parties

There are none. No analytics providers, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting SDKs, no data brokers. Apple provides standard platform services (such as TestFlight beta distribution and opt-in crash reports governed by your iOS settings and Apple's privacy policy).

Children

LendShark is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone — children included, since it collects nothing from anyone at all.

Changes

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will change first, with a new effective date. Given the design philosophy — the books stay private — don't expect much movement here.
